“BEER” begins previews tonight

Well, by now they’ve already begun.

Not that we want to tell them how to do their marketing, but shouldn’t it be “BEER opens tonight” or “open a BEER tonight”? Okay, maybe not.

            Their names are ROB SILVER, BOOMER, ROB ROBINSON and NICK.  They have recently graduated from three universities.  One of them is considering an advanced degree in law.  Two of them are considering getting jobs. None of them have been remotely prepared for the world outside.  They share one apartment, several girlfriends and financial terror.  Their jeans are ripped as are their abs. They live for now.  Eat when they can. Breathe because it’s free. All in all the future looks bleak.  But.  THEY’VE GOT A PLAN.

Robert Scott Sullivan’s “BEER FOR BREAKFAST” opens Sunday, July 2nd  at The Producer’s Club 2 (616 Ninth Avenue – between 43rd & 44th Streets) where it will run through Sunday July 23rd.

Presented by Talegate Productions, LLC and directed by Jenn Bornstein, this comedy about men will feature Meg Bartholomay, Nathan Bock,  Julie Campbell-Elliott, Kenneth Hatlee, Ricardo Maldonado, Topher Mikels and Tom Olori. Costumes are by Jessica Veres, scenery is by Bart Schobert, lighting is by Mike Gnazzo and sound is by Mark Marshall. Mr. Marshall also composed the show’s original score.
