NACL THEATRE CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

GET INVOLVED in the MAKING of an ORIGINAL PLAY, “AMERICAN VALUE”
To be presented at The NACL Catskill Festival of New Theatre on JULY 14 and 15, 2006
A joint production of Sojourn Theatre, NACL, Carpetbag Brigade, and YOU!

AMERICAN VALUE
NACL is looking for people from all sides of the political spectrum— Democrats, Republicans, Socialists, Libertarians…. Anyone!
Get involved as a performer OR be interviewed with questions like: “What does being an American mean to you?” “What are your core values?”

“American Value” will ask questions and investigate how we view the world, ourselves, and the big and small issues that affect our lives and culture. It is a documentary theatre performance to be created in early July and invites the participation of Sullivan County and Upper Delaware Valley residents who would like to be interviewed or join as performers in the creation of this show.

The show will be directed by acclaimed Portland director Michael Rohd of Sojourn Theatre (http://www.sojourntheatre.org/) in collaboration with NACL Theatre actors and the amazing stilt walkers of The Carpetbag Brigade. If you or your organization would like to be interviewed in late June and early July, please call NACL at 845-557-0694 or e-mail at nacl@nacl.org
People interested in performing should contact Tannis at NACL.

Rehearsal Schedule
Thursday evening, July 6th, 7-10 PM
Saturday, July 8, day time (exact time TBA)
Monday-Thursday evenings, July 10-13, 7-10 PM

HOST A GUEST ARTIST
NACL is looking for community members to house guest artists on this project from July 5-17. If you live near NACL Theatre and can house an artist or two we would appreciate it. This means providing the artist(s) a bed and a bath. All the artists will eat meals at the NACL artists residence. Call 845-557-0694.
